Want to improve your relationship? Recover from an affair? Relieve anxiety or depression? Do you struggle with anger issues that push your partner away? Maybe you’re struggling with a difficult transition like separation, divorce, the loss of a loved one or feeling alone in a relationship? Might you be trying to discern whether to work on your relationship or leave? These are problems I help people work through.

Making lasting change in your life and your relationships is difficult. But I know it can be done because I’ve seen it and experienced it myself. As the father of three adult children I know what it’s like to go through a divorce, both the pain of ending a relationship and getting back into life after a relationship ends. I also know it’s possible to find a new loving relationship. I’m here to walk alongside you so you can experience lasting changes and secure connections. One of my specialties is working with men who are new to therapy, whether individually or in couples. I have compassion for men who don’t like talking about emotions or feeling vulnerable. I create a safe space where individuals and couples feel heard and respected, not judged or blamed.

I have a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and I have an MBA from Dartmouth College. After a 30-year career in business I'm grateful for the privilege of pursuing work I find so meaningful. I'm pursuing certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an attachment-based therapeutic approach proven to reduce distress in couple relationships. My clinical focus includes improving couple relationships, discernment counseling, parenting and family challenges, premarital, adoption, infertility, addiction, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I am LGBTQ+ affirming and use he/him pronouns.

I provide therapy via telehealth under the supervision of Kurt Wical, PhD, LMFT. I provide therapy to couples, individuals (18+), and families in Minnesota.
