I am passionate about helping couples, individuals, and families achieve their goals in counseling. I look forward to the opportunity to come alongside you in whatever issue you face. My background as a Medic in the U.S. Army, a Lawyer, a Pastor, and a Marriage and Family Therapist, provides me with unusually broad experience. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a trained Sex Therapist. I am also trained in EMDR Therapy. I have been in private practice since 2007.

AREAS OF SPECIAL INTEREST / EXPERIENCE

Marriage / Couples Counseling - I have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, the most effective form of Couples Therapy.

I suggest that my couples read the book, Hold Me Tight: Seven Conversations for a Lifetime of Love, by Sue Johnson. For my Christian Couples, I suggest its sister book, Created for Connection: The “Hold Me Tight” Guide for Christian Couples, by Sue Johnson and Kenneth Sanderfer.

Sex Therapy - I have advanced training in Sex Therapy and see men, women, and couples for a wide variety of issues, including intimacy issues, sexual dysfunction, sex addiction, and porn addiction.

Premarital Counseling. Couples too often spend too little time meaningfully preparing for the longest, most intense relationship of their lives. I really enjoy helping couples carefully examine what they are getting into, who they are getting into it with, what to expect on the honeymoon (and how to make it great!), and what changes after you say, “I do.”

Christian Counseling - For those interested, I would be honored to pray for you and to incorporate Biblical principles into our sessions for whatever area of life you are needing help with. I have been doing Christian Counseling since 2007.
