When those you care about so much become the source of your frustration and distress, it can feel incredibly overwhelming. You are left scared, angry, alone, and sometimes hopeless. Meeting with a therapist can feel daunting because you don't know what to expect. You don't know if it will work and you are afraid of what may come out in sessions. These are all normal feelings and the only way to know if therapy with me is right for you and your partner is to try it. To let your desire for an improved relationship outweigh your doubt in having hope.

I hold a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. I previously received a bachelor’s degree in Marriage and Family Studies at Brigham Young University in Idaho. I am currently a pre-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist under the supervision of Amanda Pikala, MA, LMFT. Along with my higher education, I have also completed training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an attachment-based approach to therapy that has been empirically proven to be effective in reducing relational distress for couples. I am certified as a facilitator of Prepare and Enrich premarital counseling and have completed the 1st level of the Gottman Method Clinical Training.

My areas of clinical interest include premarital, couples, depression, and anxiety, and patterns. I focus on utilizing Emotionally Focused Therapy to comprehend, validate, and distill the struggles that couples face in their relationships.
